After receiving a grant, GHC STEM faculty wanted to develop an online portal where students could receive help from faculty outside of formal office hours. Several casual conversations later, the library got involved and STEM411 became a reality. Using LibAnswers and LibGuides, it provides asynchronous and real-time support for numerous STEM courses. Drawing on faculty expertise, students can ask course-related questions and receive specialized instruction and guidance through LibAnswers. LibGuides houses the course content, including instructional videos and online course materials. Both platforms help provide the life preserver many students need to be successful!
