QuestionPoint Customers Migrating to LibAnswers

Who, What, Where, and How?

We are very excited to welcome all QuestionPoint customers to Springshare’s ever-growing community. Springshare has built a great reputation for our customer-centric service and support and we look forward to serving all of the new customers we are welcoming today. Rest assured, we’ll guide you through this transition period every step of the way, and we'll do everything we can to ensure the smooth transition to the Springshare platform so that your patrons / customers experience uninterrupted reference service during this process.

The Plan

All customers will migrate from the QuestionPoint software to the LibAnswers software platform, and QuestionPoint 24/7 Reference Cooperative backup staff will provide backup coverage service using the LibAnswers platform. The idea is to combine the best software with the best reference backup service. After the migration from QuestionPoint software to LibAnswers software is complete, OCLC will retire the current software used for QuestionPoint.

The Cooperative (co-op) backup staffing service will continue growing and thriving under the Springshare umbrella. We plan to significantly invest into growth of the 24/7 co-op concept by hiring more backup staff, providing additional staff training, and devising more effective information sharing workflows between local sites and co-op librarians.

  • Training Calendar - Sign up to attend our QuestionPoint-to-LibAnswers specific training sessions. Can't attend live, sign up and we'll send you the recording.
  • OCLC/QuestionPoint Support - As you continue to use QuestionPoint software and services, contact them about your QuestionPoint service questions.
  • qp@springshare.com - We’d love to hear your ideas how we can make the service work better for you and have established a dedicated email address for your ideas and suggestions. We promise to read and respond to every email!
  • mazen@springshare.com - Mazen is leading this new Springshare / QuestionPoint service and will be emailing you within the next month to discuss a plan for your library's migration to LibAnswers.
