Green'ify Your Workflows: LibCal 2-Way Calendar Sync

Green'ify your workflows today with LibCal's 2-way sync now available in:

Outlook Integration with LibCal's v2 My Scheduler (Coming Thursday, April 23rd!)

You've been asking for it, and we've coded it. You can now push your Free/Busy Times from Outlook/Exchange into LibCal v2's My Scheduler!

LibCal Outlook Integration

How does it work?

Appointments booked via your My Scheduler will show up, almost instantly, in your Outlook/Exchange Calendar. This way, you'll know when an appointment has been scheduled, or canceled, almost instantly.

View:

  • Who booked it - Name & Email
  • Location - Where you're supposed to meet

But wait, what if I have a reference desk meeting or an out-of-office appointment?

LibCal Not Available TimeslotsNo worries - just add the event to your Outlook/Exchange calendar as you normally would, and your My Scheduler stays up-to-date!

This 2-way sync will:

  1. 1. Remove the booking time slot from Public Interface so users can't book time with you.
  2. 2. Show as 'BUSY in Outlook' on the Admin Interface.

Hooray! You'll successfully prevented a double-booking disaster while simultaneously green'ifying your workflows!

I'm using LibCal v1, can I use this integration?

All sync functionality is available in LibCal v2 only. Have you thought about migrating to v2 (it's free!)? Check out our migration help documentation (authentication required).

I'm using a LibCal 3/3/3 free system! Can I sync My Scheduler with Outlook?

Please note that due to the server load resulting from this real-time integration, Outlook/Exchange sync is not available with LibCal 3/3/3 free systems. Contact us at sales@springshare.com to upgrade.

Google Calendar Integration with LibCal's v2 My Scheduler (Available Now)

Not using Outlook/Exchange Calendars? No worries - Springshare has your back with Google Calendar 2-way sync!

How does it work?

Configure My Scheduler to check your Google Calendar, and your busy times will be removed from the public side when someone books an appointment:

Google Calendar and LibCal sync

LibCal Google Calendar Busy Timeslots

On the Admin side, those busy times are shown to you when you click "Add New Booking".

How do I set it up?

Just follow the on-screen instructions for setting this up, or see the Google Calendar Sync guide for more details (authentication required).

What about 2-way integration with LibCal v2 Calendars & Events and Room Bookings?

It’s not possible to sync Free/Busy times automatically from Google Calendar into LibCal v2 at this time due to the complexity of Events and Bookings. However, LibCal will push (1-way sync) any new, updated, or cancelled Events/Bookings into the calendar instantly. This is faster and more reliable method than relying on Google to index an iCal feed.

I'm using LibCal v1, can I use this integration?

All sync functionality is available in LibCal v2 only. Have you thought about migrating to v2 (it's free!)? Check out our migration help documentation (authentication required).
