Protecting Patron Privacy
Privacy scrubbing allows you to designate form, survey, quiz, and tutorial fields to be automatically cleared on a rolling basis. This can help ensure that you do not retain personally identifiable information longer than you absolutely need to.

Patron Identifiable Info
Patron information is never sold, shared, or distributed outside of Springshare
At the system level, Admin users can choose to clear any or all of the following each time the privacy scrubber runs:
- Individual fields marked for scrubbing
- IP addresses
- All submitter Name fields
- All submitter Phone fields
- All submitter Email fields

Springshare never shares, sells, or distributes your data
When using LibWizard, you may share information about yourself which may be considered private information including your name and email address.
We are extremely careful when handling your data.
We take every effort to protect your data online.
We will never misuse your data internally, or resell it externally.
You have the right to know what data you submitted to us and how we use it.
We care about protecting your data as much as you do!
Scrubbing Patron Identifiable Information from LibWizard
Springshare provides an option to regularly scrub personally identifiable patron information from your LibWizard data.
At the system level, Admin users can choose to clear any or all of the following each time the privacy scrubber runs:
- Individual fields marked for scrubbing
- In each form, survey, quiz, and tutorial, you can designate individual fields to include.
- IP addresses
- These can be collected in each form, survey, quiz, and tutorial submission if the Collect IP reporting option is active
- All submitter Name fields
- This will scrub every Name field added to all forms, surveys, quizzes, and tutorials.
- All submitter Phone fields
- This will scrub every Phone field added to all forms, surveys, quizzes, and tutorials.
- All submitter Email fields
- This will scrub every Email field added to all forms, surveys, quizzes, and tutorials.
The privacy scrubber is an automated process that runs daily. Once activated for your system, data older than a certain number of months will be cleared from the designated fields.

- What data is stored
- Why it is stored
- Where it's stored
- And for what purposes will their data be used
- Even if you don't reside in the EU, the data submission notice is a great way to engender trust with your users by being completely transparent with how their personally identifiable information is being handled.

Regionally Hosted Data-Servers
Springshare currently has four data servers around the world to ensure that your LibWizard data, including patron-data, does not flow into or out of the United States.
Regional Server Clusters
- Canada - All Canadian LibWizard systems are stored on a server cluster in Canada.
- Europe - All European LibWizard systems are stored on a server cluster in Europe.
- Australia / New Zealand / Asia - All LibWizard systems in these regions are stored on a server cluster in Australia.
- United States - All LibWizard systems in South America, United States, Africa, and all remaining countries are stored on a server cluster in the United States of America.
